Content Guidelines
Introduction
Caruzel is committed to maintaining a high standard for content and design displayed on our digital boards. Our design policy ensures that posters create visually appealing, meaningful, and responsible content that aligns with our platform’s values. We encourage creativity while emphasizing sustainability, clarity, and engagement.
1. General Guidelines
- Aesthetic Quality: Content should be well-designed, visually balanced, and free of excessive clutter.
- Clarity & Readability: Text should be legible from a distance, using high-contrast colors and large fonts.
- Concise Messaging: Messages should be direct and to the point—avoid excessive text.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure alignment with your brand’s identity while respecting Caruzel’s visual harmony.
2. Content & Messaging
- Engaging & Positive: Content should be inspiring, community-driven, and align with the venue’s environment.
- Sustainability-Focused: We prioritize messages that support eco-conscious initiatives and responsible business practices.
- Storytelling Approach: Encourage advertisers to tell stories rather than push products. Authentic narratives tend to resonate better and feel less like blatant advertising.
- No Hard Sales or Pushy Marketing: Instead of aggressive calls to action, opt for storytelling, education, or subtle engagement.
- Language & Tone: Keep the tone professional, friendly, and inclusive. Avoid negative, misleading, or fear-based messaging.
3. Visual Design & Formatting
- Resolution & Aspect Ratio:
- Images: Minimum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels (Full HD) to ensure crisp display.
- Videos: Minimum resolution of 1080p, with a frame rate of at least 24fps for smooth playback.
- Aspect ratio should match the venue’s screen specifications (typically 9:16).
- Color & Contrast: Use vibrant but not overwhelming colors. Avoid excessively bright or straining visuals.
- Text Limitations: Keep text minimal—ideally, no more than 20% of the design should contain text.
- Font Size & Style: Ensure fonts are easily readable from a distance; sans-serif fonts are preferred.
- Animations & Motion: If animations are used, they should be smooth, subtle, and non-disruptive to the viewer. Avoid excessive flickering or rapid transitions.
- Logo & Branding Placement: Every post features the profile picture or logo and display name of the publisher. If the logo is present as content, it should be subtle and tasteful.
- File Format & Size:
- Images should be in PNG or JPG format with minimal compression.
- Videos should be in MP4 format with a maximum file size of 25MB and max. 7 secs long.
4. Prohibited Content
- Political, religious, or controversial content that could alienate audiences.
- Explicit, offensive, pornographic or inappropriate visuals or language.
- Deceptive, exaggerated, or misleading claims.
- High-pressure sales tactics, including “limited time only” urgency messaging.
- Additionally, content promoting drugs, pornography, weapons, tobacco products, and vaping products is strictly prohibited.
5. Encouraged Content
We actively support and prioritize:
- Promotions for sustainable products, ethical brands, and social impact initiatives.
- Local events, workshops, and community-building efforts.
- Informational and educational content relevant to the venue’s audience.
- Creative, artistic, and visually engaging displays that add value to the space.
6. Approval & Moderation
- Board hosts have the final say on which ads appear on their screens or boards.
- Caruzel reserves the right to reject content that does not meet this design and content policies.
- Submissions are reviewed for compliance before approval.
By following these guidelines, posters contribute to a more engaging, visually appealing, and responsible advertising ecosystem. Let’s create beautiful, meaningful and fair digital displays together!
